Recently, I decided to try using an AI tool to create our wedding invitations. Sounds cool, right? After all, who wouldn’t want to have custom-designed invitations for their wedding? However, the process wasn’t entirely smooth sailing; some aspects were surprisingly delightful, while others gave me a bit of a headache.

First, let’s talk about Midjourney, the AI tool I chose. Midjourney is a powerful image generation tool that can create various styles of images based on your descriptions. I picked Midjourney for its robust features and relatively user-friendly interface. All I needed to do was input some keywords and descriptions, and it would generate initial design drafts. For example, I entered “romantic wedding invitation, pink background, floral decorations,” and Midjourney quickly produced several satisfying designs.

However, the actual process had its fair share of challenges. While the quality of the images generated by Midjourney was high, the attention to detail wasn’t always perfect. For instance, I wanted a specific font, but the fonts in the generated images often looked off. Sometimes, the size, spacing, and positioning of the text were not quite right, requiring additional manual adjustments. Additionally, Midjourney sometimes added strange elements to the images, such as extra lines or mismatched color combinations, which I had to remove or modify manually.
